Training ResourcesToolkit for Energy EntrepreneursThe toolkit is the evolving product of a joint effort involving E+Co and UNEP training specialists. The toolkit comprises four interrelated modules for guiding an entrepreneur through: basic fact-finding; feasibility analysis; business plan preparation; and project management. Local NGOs such as ENDA (Senegal), Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment (KITE) (Ghana), MFC (Mali), and local enterprises such as RAPS (South Africa) are heavily involved in the development of this training resource. The idea is to ensure that practical experience from other regions is presented in a context appropriate for the target countries. Toolkit for Energy Entrepreneurs Handbook for Financial & Development ProfessionalsThe handbook for financial professionals is similarly a joint effort between E+Co and UNEP. It is being designed to align the interests of financial institutions around the theme: rural energy service enterprises can be profitable ventures. The handbook incorporates practical information about rural energy markets and RET enterprises, as well as 'best-practice' project finance models. Handbook for Financial & Development Professionals Workshop MaterialsThe workshop materials comprise handouts and worksheets. These are designed to enable entrepreneurs translate initial business ideas into detailed business propositions.
