Training Tools

Renewable Energy Analytical Studies Network (REASN)
REASN is an interactive web site that offers the latest in renewable energy analysis. The site contains sections organized by technology and content area: Reports, Tools, Data, and Links for several renewable technologies: Biomass, Geothermal, Solar (thermal and electric), Wind, as well as crosscutting analysis.

RETScreen® International, Renewable Energy Project Analysis Software
The core of the tool consists of a standardised and integrated renewable energy project analysis software that can be used world-wide to evaluate the energy production, life-cycle costs and greenhouse gas emission reductions for various types of renewable energy technologies (RETs).

Rural Energy Supply Models (RESuM)
RESuM provides a qualified tool as a guide for governments, business, experts and financing organisations. By presenting best practices in a structured format, this tool offers valuable support in the preparation of future projects for rural power supply using renewable energy.

Tools and Methods for Integrated Resource Planning
This textbook addresses integrated resource planning (IRP) methods, energy efficiency programs, and their application in the electricity sector. The manual is targeted toward engineers and planners in electric utilities and other institutions in the energy sector, as well as post-graduate students in energy and environmental engineering and economics.
