Commodity Chain
VEV's commodity chain is fairly straight forward. The majority of the parts VEV uses for the repairs are manufactured locally by the company itself. In fact only one part, the spring, is imported from abroad. Once the parts are ready, they are placed in the inventory or assembled for a full wind pump. When a community calls and reports a pumps issue, then VEV goes to check on the issue and repairs the pump if the pieces needed are in stock or else makes/orders the necessary parts.
