Commodity Chain

The supply chain begins with the purchase of gas from one of the suppliers in Benin, Senegal, Ghana or Cote d'Ivoire. Sodigaz purchases on average 280 tons per month in 3-4 purchases. The gas is transported from the port to Bamako in one of Sodigaz's 6 cistern trucks. Upon arrival in Bamako, the gas is transferred into the storage tank, which has a capacity of 200 tons. Then the empty bottles are filled with gas and transported by truck to the 600 distributors. At the same time, the truck will collect the empty bottles to bring back to Bamako to fill. The end-user will either buy the bottle from the distributor or bring his/her empty bottle to the distributor in exchange for a new bottle.
